Who Are You October?
In Burkina Faso, over a 27-year interval, two Octobers face each other. The first one, in October 1987, the murder of Thomas Sankara, father of the democratic and popular revolution, took place. The second, in October 2014, the impeachment of his successor, Blaise Compaoré, followed after wich the people took to the streets.
In the working class neighborhoods of Ouagadougou, history and anecdote merge in the women’s hut, where young Mika lives.
Three generations tell the story of resistance, of the people on a quest for justice, truth and integrity.
